Stampin Up Workshop

Hey Y'all,

I had my first scrapbooking get together in a very long time yesterday! I actually had fun and realized how much I missed all the girly conversation! The pictures above are of my creations and my wonderfully amazing boyfriend helped by holding them up so I could capture a pic!

I think a few friends of mine are going to begin organizing a monthly crop party going forward! Yea!!!! I'm exciting.

Blurb about my weekend.

Hey y'all,

I had a pretty interesting weekend if I must say so. Saturday was a work day! But, it was actually worth it since we got to connect with some of the kids that have just been hanging around the neighborhood with nothing to do. Following my work shift of 2-9pm, I had to come home and hurry to get dressed since my friend Linda drove up here from Portland and we made plans to go out.

Where to? The Parlor in Bellevue. Believe it or not, this is a club on the third floor of a mall!!! It was fun to hang out with my girl. She brought one of her friends from Portland (Jessica) and I think I've got a new friend in my life! :)

My daughter and I got to spend some time together making fresh fruit smoothies. It was her idea and I'm glad she thought of it. She's always asking for some soda or juice to drink! I always say no because she drinks and eats too much sweets. But today was different, we had a tasty treat with out the sugar: mangos, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, pluots, and apple juice!

I've been watching a lot of videos online lately (primarily focusing on the scrapbook world) and I think I've found out what angle I want to take in revamping my business. Details to come shortly :)

I've got Atlanta on my mind....

I've had it in my mind for years to move to Georgia. For some reason, it's been on my mind more and more recently. I guess it's because my 13 year old just started her last year of middle school this week and it's time to get focused so that she has an amazing start to high school.

The more I think about it, the more my decision to relocate is clear. I don't really have a lot holding me back, here in Seattle. Time is of the essence! I think I'll put do some online research this weekend on the offerings of Georgia and post what I come up with for you all to see!

Scotch ATG (Advanced Tape Glider)

Hey Girlies & Gents,

Today was a very eventful day! My boyfriend, 13 year old daughter and I traveled by bus to Michael's in Bellevue, WA to purchase my Scotch ATG Gun! I've been watching tons and tons of videos on using it and I just had to have one! Now I just need to log on to youtube to check out a video on how to load it with adhesive! LOL

My daughter was also able to buy this new cellphone that she's been wanting for a very long time. Perhaps after she has done all her uploading of numbers, pics, ringtones and such, I'll post a pic of that too!

1. I was pregnant at age 15.

2. My favorite color is purple.

3. I watch way too many reality tv shows! Right now, my favorite is MTV's Teen Mom (hence the answer to #1)

4. I love food with nuts in them. Especially soft cookies with pecans or walnuts.

5. I will definitely marry Trey Songz in a few years. (he is super dee duper sexy)

6. My best friend has 5 kids. I love all of them dearly :)

7. In 2008, I was in a head on car accident. ( the man ran a red light!)

8. I love my purple Blackberry.

9. I gained more weight after having my daughter than I did during my pregnancy :(

10. I am obsessed with Scrapbooking. I have probably spent well over $5,000 in the last 3 years!

11. Bugs make my skin crawl. Especially roaches, ear wigs, maggots, and slugs!

12. I had my very first Mojito a few weeks ago. Yummy! :)

13. I used to love clubbing when I was 21-24 yrs old. At 28, I feel super old now!

14. I am a scrapbooking consultant for Close to My Heart. It's such a bad obsession :)

15. I like Fruta Bomba Green Tea from Teavana

16. My favorite movie of all time is The Five Heartbeats.

17. I own every episode of Soul Food the Series. I never missed an episode during the original airing on Showtime.

18. I have worked for the same company for 7 years. Not sure if I'll make it to 10 though. lol

19. I have lived on my own with my daughter since I was 16 years old.

20. When I become rich I want to get a breast reduction. No more double D's!!!

21. I have spent too much of my life shopping in the aisles of Target! I can tell you all the brands: Xhilaration, Cherokee, hahaha!

22. I love singing to the top of my lungs to any Jaheim or Donell Jones song.

23. I was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina at Orangeburg Regional Hospital.

24. I miss my grandfather whom I met when I was 7 years old. (He died in August 2008)

25. I love the smell of fruity things. Especially Lemon Sugar body care from Mark by Avon.

26. I love perfume! Lolita Lempinicka is what I'm wearing these days...

27. Most of the men I've dated are New York born and raised. Love that East Coast swag!

28. I make a big deal of all my birthdays: 10/6/1981. Next year, i'm turning 30 and it's gonna be bananas!!!

It's gonna be a long Stay-cation

So, I have the following week off from work! Whew hoo! I started off with my planning for leading scrapbook workshops at the local community college and I had a huge angry moment when my 16 year old sister and my boyfriend hit the back of someone's car! :( Thank god that they are not hurt and that my car is not damaged terribly. But my wallet is going to be hurting for some time now. With Back to School, birthdays for friends, my birthday coming up in October and Christmas! Not happy at all! It truely sucks some time to be an adult!

Sunday Morning Organization

A couple days ago I went shopping at the local Big Lots and found this book called "Scrapbook Organization" and I just had to get it because my over abundance of supplies have begun to take over my living room! I've also spent some time browsing other scrapbook rooms on the internet to get a sense of what I'm looking for.

Here are some things that I'm starting off with:

* My color scheme is Plum Purple and Lime Green (something about those two colors together make me happy :)

* I'm making a list of my inventory (which will take quite some time because I have almost too much stuff for the little space it occupies)

* Going to make a "Where to turn" binder for all my Cricut cartridges. (I have these amazingly large 15" x 15" binders that are perfect for this task!)

This is all just day one or two or three.... lol

Once I get everything figured out I'll upload pics for your viewing pleasure!
