Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening

I guess it really depends on what time of the day you are reading this! LOL! I spent about an hour last night working on a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout that I am mailing this week to a Facebook friend! I hope she likes it just as much as I enjoyed creating it! I have been brainstorming ways to get my work out there and how to inspire people more. I am going to keep my ideas flowing and as they progress, I will for sure keep you updated!

I'll write more later, just wanted to keep this blogging thing up. In the past, I only wrote a post about every 6 months to a year. No Bueno!

Ok, so I spent sometime doing online research last night and found out about a space rental place called Activspace. It's basically a rental space where you could convene your small business out of. For $195/month I could rent about 100 sq feet of space to have some crafting workshops or sell specific items.... I am going to do a little more research and keep you all posted. I also had this light bulb moment! I have been trying to get people to scrapbook more with me and I've decided that maybe I should make pages for people and them charge per page. That way, I can do what I love doing as well as help others out with getting albums completed.

Right now, I am running a special. I'll create the 1st 12 x 12 page for free and you just pay for shipping. You'll recieve the a complete page and you just add your photos. Any additional pages are as follow:

(1) 12 x 12 scrapbook page $5 plus shipping
(1) 12 x 12 double layout $9 plus shipping
Entire 20 page album $110 (includes your color choice of album and 20 complete pages) plus shipping

Greeting cards:
(1) 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 card w/envelope $2
(5) 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 cards w/envelopes $9
(12) 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 cards w/envelopes $22

Guess who's back!!!!!

I know it's been a while since I blogged about my crafting adventures, but nevertheless, I'm back with some renewed energy! So.... What's new? I started a monthly crafting crop group in January of this year! We meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 1-6pm. Everyone pays $15 and this includes food, table space, a free table, use of tools and much more! For more information, leave a comment and I'll get back to you!

I'm also starting another component to my crafting! Some people are not much scrapbookers but enjoy my work. I am going to start making scrapbook pages that you can just insert your photos in. What do you think about that? Does that sound like a good idea? I'm still working on the minor details and will be back to post more info on the prices, etc.

Look forward to hearing from you all!

Where in the heck has time gone!

Well, I've have been super consumed with work, work and more work! I've got a lot of things going on both personally and at work.

Personally:
My 13 year old daughter and I are headed to a high school open house tonight! OMG! My baby girl will be a high school freshman in September! Please cross your fingers, I really want her to be a bulldog for 4 more years!!!!!!!

I am so glad that it's Black History month! My daughter and I have been spending time engulfed in all things Maya Angelou. I just happened to be riding the metro bus this morning and overheard a conversation and to my delight, Ms. Angelou will be here at the Paramount next month!!!! Daisia and I will for sure be there, god willing.

I made it my goal to take steps toward my dream of owning my own business(es). 1 is a for profit crafting/bookstore/cafe, the 2nd is a not-for-profit Teen Parent Program. I am super dee duper excited for this and will keep you all posted as I progress.

Work related:
I am like a meeting queen these days! I've got resident meetings, food and fitness meetings and the list goes on. The upside is, I'm employed right?!

Until next time,

PEACE & LOVE

I think a few friends of mine are going to begin organizing a monthly crop party going forward! Yea!!!! I'm exciting.
Until next time,
Happy Scrappin!

Blurb about my weekend.

Hey y'all,

I had a pretty interesting weekend if I must say so. Saturday was a work day! But, it was actually worth it since we got to connect with some of the kids that have just been hanging around the neighborhood with nothing to do. Following my work shift of 2-9pm, I had to come home and hurry to get dressed since my friend Linda drove up here from Portland and we made plans to go out.

Where to? The Parlor in Bellevue. Believe it or not, this is a club on the third floor of a mall!!! It was fun to hang out with my girl. She brought one of her friends from Portland (Jessica) and I think I've got a new friend in my life! :)

My daughter and I got to spend some time together making fresh fruit smoothies. It was her idea and I'm glad she thought of it. She's always asking for some soda or juice to drink! I always say no because she drinks and eats too much sweets. But today was different, we had a tasty treat with out the sugar: mangos, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, pluots, and apple juice!

I've been watching a lot of videos online lately (primarily focusing on the scrapbook world) and I think I've found out what angle I want to take in revamping my business. Details to come shortly :)

Ta ta for now!

I've got Atlanta on my mind....

I've had it in my mind for years to move to Georgia. For some reason, it's been on my mind more and more recently. I guess it's because my 13 year old just started her last year of middle school this week and it's time to get focused so that she has an amazing start to high school.

The more I think about it, the more my decision to relocate is clear. I don't really have a lot holding me back, here in Seattle. Time is of the essence! I think I'll put do some online research this weekend on the offerings of Georgia and post what I come up with for you all to see!

Until then, have a good night!
